Abraham, Isaac and everyone on earth until Jacob had his first son, was a gentile. God too is a goyim/gentile !

GENTILE / STRANGERS DEFINED
The meaning of the word gentile is one who is not an Israelite. According to the bible. Here is the proof:

GENTILE = NON DESCENDANT OF SHEM?

If the descendants of Shem are considered to be NON gentiles, then MOST NON Israelites, NON Jews are NOT gentiles.

See the page on Semitic people and know the vast majority of Shem's descendants were NOT Israelites.

i.e. If descendants of Shem are not gentiles then the Edomites, the Ishmaelites, all of Abraham's sons with Keturah, the Moabites nor the Ammonites could be gentiles, if being a descendant of Shem means you are not a gentile.

Who is this chapter talking about: Who are these gentiles?

10:1 the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth

The context of chapter is speaking about ALL 3 of Noah's sons.

10:5 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.

The families of Sham, Ham and Japeth.

(Judaism being the religion given to the Israelites), Neither these, their sons nor their grandsons followed Judaism.

NONE of these three, their sons nor their grandsons are Israelites... descendants of the man Israel.

NONE of these men, their sons or their great, great, great grandsons were Jews because no such thing existed until 2nd Kings.

Genesis 10:1-5 - "Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
By these were the isles of THE GENTILES divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations".

* By these "THESE" are the people in the context of these verses.
* were the isles of the GENTILES divided THESE are the GENTILES

A gentile by definition is One who is not an Israelite
Remember some Israelites joined the Jew organizations / religious sect, but they were still Israelites as well as Jews. When speaking about this sect of the Israelites, the word gentile is used to distinguish them.

///
One argues:
The sons of Japheth are the people known as Gentiles.
Now lets break down these families: Gomer(Celtics), Magog (Russia), Madai (Medes), Javan (Greece, Syria), Tubal (south of the Black Sea, Spain), Meshech (Russia), Tiras (Thracians). Only Europeans are Gentiles
\\\
Reply:
#1 The subject in Genesis is not about some future generation in Europe, but the topic is speaking about the people listed in these verses. The people identified as gentiles in Genesis are the sons and grandsons of Noah who lived in the middle east.

The people being spoken about were the inhabitants who lived in the middle east BEFORE God scattered anyone from the middle east to other parts at the world.
This speaks nothing about Russians, Spain... this context is speaking about the people named in these scriptures.

GENESIS 10:1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and to them were sons born after the flood.
The generations of the sons of Noah are the group of people being spoken about.
Below is the complete of every person and the name of the lands they were divided into.
Abimael, Accad, Admah, Almodad, Amorite, Anamim, Aram, Arkite, Arphaxad, Arvadite, Ashkenaz, Asshur, Calah, Calneh, Canaan, Canaanites, Caphtorim, Casluhim, Cush, Dedan, Diklah, Dodanim Eber, Elam, Elishah, Erech, Gerar, Gether, Girgasite, Gomer, Gomorrah, Hadoram, Hamathite, Havilah, Hazarmaveth, Heth, Hivite, Hul, Japheth, Javan, Jebusite, Jerah, Jobab, Joktan, Kittim, Lasha, Lehabim, Lud, Ludim, Madai, Magog, Mesha, Meshech, Mizraim, Naphtuhim, Nimrod, Nineveh, Obal, Ophir, Pathrusim, Peleg, Philistim, Phut, Raamah, Rehoboth, Resen, Riphath, Sabtah, Sabtecha, Salah, Seba, Sephar, Sheba, Sheleph, Shem, Shinar, Sidon, Sinite, Tarshish, Tiras, Togarmah, Tubal, Uz, Uzal, Zeboim, Zemarite... ( and many more I did not add )

By these .." THESE" being Noah's sons and grand sons. The isles of the Gentiles.. speaking of These.. the sons and grandsons of Noah.

If you look at the lands of the gentiles, these are not cities/lands in Europe, they are lands located in the middle east. The "LANDS OF THE GENTILES" are lands of the middle east. These gentiles were Arabs of the middle east.

#1 By these.. speaking about the sons of Noah and their sons were the isles of the gentiles (speaking of Noah's sons and grandchildren) divided in their lands..
Look at the names and locations of these lands and know they are lands in the middle east.

GENTILES / ARABS LIVED IN THE MIDDLE EAST
BEFORE EUROPEANS EXISTED.

The gentiles spoken about are not Europeans because when these gentiles were identified, there were NO Europeans. This was before the tower of Babel caper.

The bible states that ONLY Noah and his sons survived the flood. They landed in Turkey and migrated south back to the middle east (Iraq).
By the scriptures we know exactly where Noah's sons and grandsons were before the tower of Babel and every one of them dwelled in the middle east... as stated in these verses.
At this time every one on earth (Noah, his sons and grandsons) lived in the middle east(Iraq) as revealed in the scriptures.

No, one can not invent their own meaning for any words. The meanings of the word gentiles are:
Strong's Ref. # 1484, Romanized ethnos, Pronounced eth'-nos probably from GSN1486; a race (as of the same habit), i.e. a tribe; specially, a foreign (non-Jewish) one (usually by implication, pagan):
KJV--Gentile, heathen, nation, strangers Strong's Ref. # 1471 Romanized gowy, Pronounced go'-ee rarely (shortened) goy {go'-ee}; apparently from the same root as HSN1465 (in the sense of massing); a foreign nation; hence, a Gentile; also (figuratively) a troop of animals, or a flight of locusts:

If you get to make up your own meanings for words then the bible means what anyone says it does.
If you use the English definitions for the words then a gentile is a stranger heathen, nation, people,
When you look at those defined to be gentiles in Genesis, you know these people... the sons of Noah and his grandsons are people living in the middle east.

GENESIS 10:5
By these [ Speaking about the descendants of Noah at that time and in this land ] were the isles of the Gentiles divided By --> THESE (descendants of Noah) the isles of THE GENTILES were divided and they were divided in Arab lands.

One argues:
Now lets break down these families: Gomer (Celtics), Magog (Russia), Madai (Medes), Javan (Greece, Syria), Tubal (south of the Black Sea, Spain), Meshech (Russia), Tiras (Thracians).

Reply:
There is no proof of these things and even if so Gomer, Magog... and the rest.. themselves never lived out of the middle east.

The gentiles being spoken about are the gentiles named in these scriptures.
The word gentile does not mean European It means heathen, stranger, foreigner. Unless you have your own musical dictionary words mean what they are defined to mean. genĚtile
1. Often Gentile. One who is not of the Jewish faith or is of a non-Jewish nation.

Of course the assertion of "Jewish faith" is following the religion of the Israelites. Those who profess to follow "the Jewish faith" today are cons who have nothing to do with the religion of the Israelites.

The "Jewish faith / Judaism" was not from the Jews, it was the religion given to the Israelites 1000 years before the organization of Jews was created ( 2-Kings).

Those who did were given Judaism were the Israelites and of course a gentile is one who is not an Israelite.
2. Often Gentile. A Christian. This too is a farce, because the Israelites themselves became Christians. The first church, the first Christians were descendants of the Israelites.

3. A pagan or heathen. Many of the Israelites worshipped false gods, but they were not gentiles, they are identified as Israelites.
adj.
1. Of or relating to a Gentile.
2. Of or relating to a gens, tribe, or people.
3. Grammar. Expressing national or local origins. American Heritage dictionary

Adam, Eve, Noah, Noah's sons, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob himself were gentiles.
An Israelite (ITE of or from) is a descendant of Israel.

Most of the descendants of Abraham never became Israelites and all the descendants of Isaac did not become Israelites. Most of Abraham's descendants are were gentiles ( he had about a dozen named children with 3 wives).
Abraham is not the descendant of Israel, Isaac is not the descendant of Israel,
Israel is not a descendant of himself.

Abraham, Isaac nor Israelites could have been of or from the man Israel. They were all gentiles.
"Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth .... By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations".
Shem, Ham and Japeth were gentiles in their nations. These were middle east nations... Not Israelite nations... not European nations.

Every on the earth died except Noah and the boys.. gentiles/Arabs and out of these gentiles/Arabs, the whole earth's population came to be.
All Israelites came out of the loins/wombs of Arabs/gentiles !

Arabs/gentiles who's nations existed 1000 years in the middle east before any such thing as a Jew/Israelite came about.
Before any Jew existed, it was gentiles who worshipped God and made offerings to him.

PRE-ISRAELITES / PRE JEW

Before the existence of any such thing as a Jew, God made covenants with and walked with gentiles first.
Adam, Noah, Sarah, Abraham and all of his family were gentiles. Before any priest of Israelite existed, there were gentile priests of the most High God. Melchizedek was not the descendant of Abraham !
GENESIS 14:18 Melchizedek king of Salem was the priest of the most high God.
Jethro was not the descendant of Israel.
EXODUS 3:1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian;
(Both gentile/ARABS priests of God) The first recorded priest of God (Melchizedek) is a gentile.

***

The word stranger and gentile are like car and automobile. They are different words with the same meanings.

STRANGERS / GENTILES

The word stranger has two meanings:
(a) Foreigner (b) Everyone who is not a descendant of the man Israel / Jacob.
Abraham was a stranger / foreigner in Cannan (the area which would become Israel after the death of all Israel's children)
The word stranger is most used in the OT but the word gentile has the same meaning as ... not a descendant of Jacob.

Not only did EVERY Israelite come out of the Arab/gentiles in the first place, they continued to breed with them... Egyptians, Syrians, Midianites, Moabites, Cannanites... through out the OT and every priest, prophet and king of Israel came out of the wombs/loins of Arabs/Gentiles.

The Bible is an Arab story about Arab people who became God's players through out the scriptures.
The strangers / gentiles of the scriptures are simply anyone who is not a descendant of the Israelites.
No one can physically be of some descent other than that of their parents. While all Arabs were not Israelites,
all Israelites were/are Arabs... Egyptians, Philistines, Cannanites, Syrians, Moabites, Midianites... Arabs.

***

By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations".

If "Judaism" is supposed to be the religion given to the Israelites, then no such thing as Judaism existed until over 1,430 years after Adam... and

If a gentile is one who does not follow Judaism, then everyone one earth was a gentile until over 1,430 years after Adam.

In the scriptures, the word strangers means the clan of Abraham WHEN he is talking about his own clan in foreign lands.
When he is not speaking of himself or his relatives, every reference to stranger is a reference to gentiles.

The words strangers, gentiles and foreigners all have the same meaning:
Pagans, heathens or those who are not the descendants of the Israelites. Of course the reason some gentiles were heathens was because they did not follow the religion they were not even given.

Gentile: The Hebrew word for one who is not a descendant of the Israelites is goy.

It is necessary to prove the meanings of words before any bible study because there will always be those who need to use musical meanings to concoct their own fabrications.

According to the Nelson Bible Chart,

Adam started out 4000+ BC
The first Israelites did not exist until 1740 BC. An Israelite is a descendant of the man Israel / Jacob. No Israelites existed until over 1200 years after Adam.
Solomon started out about 971 BC
The formation of the first group to be called Jews happened as a result of Solomon's blunders, so there were no Jew groups until the split of the kingdoms.
4000 - 971 = 3029. There were no such things as Jews until over 3,000 years after Adam. (This is an error, if the bible is true. Gentiles walked the earth over 8,000 years before any Israelite was created
* If a gentile is one who is not a Jew, then everyone up to the time of 2 Kings was a gentile.
* If a gentile is one who is not a descendant of Shem, then the overwhelming majority of non gentiles are NON Israelites / Non Jews.... Ammorites, Moabites, Ishmaelites, Edomites... and many more.
* If a gentile is a pagan, then a multitude of the Israelites were gentiles.
* If a gentile is one who does not follow Judaism, then everyone on earth was a gentile up until the time God gave the laws of Judaism to Moses.
* If a gentile is one who does not follow the religion of Judaism, then everyone on earth today is a gentile. ( Judaism being the laws / religion given to the Israelites through Moses.)
* If a gentile is one who is not a descendant of the Israelites, then today there is no way of knowing who is or who is not a gentile.

In the context of the Old Testament ( when Abraham and the boys were not referring to themselves in a strange land ), the words stranger / gentile is simply a reference to one who is not a descendant of the man Israel.

All of these were Arab / Gentile cities and people which existed before any such thing as an Israelite let out it's first squall
Abida Abimael, Abimelech, Abraham, Abram, Accad, Adah, Adam, Adbeel, Admah, Ahuzzath, Almodad, Amalekites, Ammon, Amorites, Amraphel, Anamim, Aner, Aram, Arioch, Arkite, Arphaxad, Arvadite, Ashkenaz, Ashteroth, Asshur, Asshurim, Bashemath, Beeri, Beerlahairoi, Beersheba, Bela, Benammi, Bera, Bered, Bethuel, Birsha, Buz, Cainan, Calah, Calneh, Canaanites, Caphtorim, Casluhim, Chaldees, Chedorlaomer, Chesed, Cush, Dedan, Diklah, Dodanim, Dumah, , Eber, Edom, Elam, Eldaah, Eliezer, Elishah, Ellasar, Elon, Elparan, Emims, Enmishpat, Enoch, Enos, Ephah, Epher, Ephron, Erech, Esau, Esek, Eshcol, , Eve, Gaham, Gerar, Gether, Gihon, Girgashites, Gomer, Gomorrah, Hadar, Hadoram, Hagar, Hai, , Ham, Hamathite, Hanoch, Haran, Havilah, Hazarmaveth, Hazezontamar, Hazo, Heth, Hiddekel, Hittites, Hivite, Hobah, Horites, Hul, Huz, Irad, Iscah, Ishbak, Ishmael, , Isaac, Jabal, Jacob, Japheth, Javan, Jebusites, Jehovahjireh, Jerah, Jetur, Jidlaph, Jobab, Jokshan, Joktan, Jubal, Kadesh, Kadmonites, Karnaim, Kedar, Kedemah, Kemuel, Kenites, Kenizzites, Keturah, Kiriathaim, Kirjatharba, Kittim, Laban, Lahairoi, Lamech, Lasha, Leah, Lehabim, Letushim, Leummim, Lud, Ludim, Luz, Maachah, Machpelah, Madai, Magog, Mahalaleel, Mahalath, Mamre, Massa, Medan, Mehujael, Melchizedek, Mesha, Meshech, Methusael, Mibsam, Midian, Milcah, Mishma, Mizraim, Moabites, Moreh, Moriah, Naamah, Nahor, Naphish, Naphtuhim, Nebajoth, Nimrod, Nineveh, Obal, Ophir, Padanaram, Paran, Pathrusim, Peleg, Perizzites, Phichol, Philistim, Phut, Pildash, Pison, Raamah, Rachel, , Rebekah, Rehoboth, Rephaims, Resen, Reu, Reumah, Riphath, Sabtah, Sabtecha, Salah, Sarai, Seba, Seir, Sephar, Serug, Shaveh, Sheba, Shebah, Sheleph, Shem, Shemeber, Shinab, Shinar, Shuah, Shur, Sichem, Siddim, Sinite, Sitnah, Tarshish, Tebah, Tema, , Terah, Thahash, Tiras, Togarmah, Tubal, Tubalcain, _

Adam, Noah, Shem, Ham, Japeth, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob himself were gentiles
(Israel is not a descendant of himself, therefore he is not an Israelite)
Further more the Semitic people (the descendants of Shem) were Arabs / gentiles AND further more the Hebrew people (Descendants of Eber) were Arabs / gentiles.

A gentile is not the definition of what one is, but a gentile simply notes what someone is not... gentile, one who is not a descendant of the Israelites.

God is not a descendant of any Jew or any Israelite, indeed God is a gentile.

Who were the strangers who traveled through the wilderness with the Israelites on their split from Egypt? They were simply non Israelite slaves and some of these strangers were Egyptians who left Egypt to stay with their husbands / wives and children.

In the old testament, the word stranger is used mostly and in the new testament, the word gentile is used. Either word is simply a word that notes that one is not a descendant of the Israelites.

In the old testament, they are identified for us. In this date of history, there is no way of knowing who is or who is not a gentile.

We do know everyone who asserts they are a descendant of the Israelites with out proof, is but a liar and by the scriptures we know (1) the specific Arab countries God said he would scatter them into and (2) the specific Arab countries where God said he would gather them from in the last days.

The first Israelite to exist came out of a native born Canaanite (Jacob) who was the descendants of Chaldeans and he came out between the legs of a gentile, an Arab, a Syrian ... Leah, daughter of Laban the Syrian, son of Bethuel the Syrian... And after the first Israelites were created out of Arabs / gentiles they continued to create their Israelite descendants with Egyptians, Syrians, Chaldeans, Hittites, Havites, Moabites, Midianites, Jebusites, Philistines, Canaanites ... every Arab around them. That is all they came from and that is all they were !

As far as the earth being 6,000 years ( in the year 2000 ), this is a farce. Deduct the time it took for these men to be born till they produced their first child, add all the years of their lives together and know GENTILES (only) walked the earth for over 7,000 years before the flood. Next add the years after the flood until your time in history and that will be the age of the earth.

These are the life spans of God's goys before the flood.
1-Adam 930
2-Canian 910
3-Enoch 365
4-Enos 905
5-Jared 962
6-Lamech 777
7-Mahalaleel 895
8-Methuselah 969
9-Seth 912
10-Noah 950
=============
8,575 years total

This is the life spans, deduct the years it took them to produce their first child and know the earth was over 7,000 old when Noah and the boys got off the Ark. Next add all the generations from Shem's children until Israel was born and KNOW  gentiles walked the earth before any such thing as an Israelite was conceived.
