Using bible numbers and averaging, your task is to find the average birth rate from the time they entered into Egypt until they were counted in the book of Numbers... then use that same birth rate and project the number of Israelites that would exist 400 years after they were counted in the book of Numbers.

It appears to me that according to the
scriptures there would now be a couple billion descendants of the Israelites
living in the middle east?

If you like logic and numbers... figure this one.

How many Israelites in the book of Numbers, check my math

Numbers in pink are estimates

================================================

GENESIS 46:26 All the souls that came with Jacob into
Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides
Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls were threescore
and six; 66

To figure how many children, use the mother as the basis
in calculations.

Here in Genesis 46:26 there were 66 people who went into Egypt ( Joseph was
already there)

Jacob and his 11 sons would have been 12 of the 66

The wives of the sons were not counted, so 66 - 12 = 54 children

Let's say half of the children were girls 54/2 = 27

27 grand daughters

11 wives of the 11 princes not counted in Gen 46:26

1 wife already in Egypt (Asenath)

-----

39 Women going into Egypt, lets round it off and say 40 women.

#1 40 Women ... wives daughters of the Israelites in
Egypt

================================================

#2 Exodus 12:40 The Israelites were in Egypt 430 years

================================================

NUMBERS 1:2 Take you the sum of all the congregation of the children of
Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number
of their names, every male by their polls;

NUMBERS 1:3 From twenty years old and upward.

NUMBERS 1:46 Even all they that were numbered were six
hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty 603550

NUMBERS 1:47 But the Levites were not numbered
among them.

#3 Males 20 years and older from 11 tribes = 603,550

================================================

From 11 tribes, the total males 20 and up were 603,550

(4a) Numbered 20 years and up

(4b) Average life span 50

(4c) 4a / 4b = .4 Males under 20

(4d) 4c x 603,550 = 241,420 males under 20

#4 Males under 20 from 11 tribes = 241,420

================================================

#3 603,550 males of 11 tribes 20 and up

#4 241,420 males of 11 tribes under 20

-------------------------------------------------

#5 844970 total males from 11 tribes

================================================

Estimating the average birth to be 50% female

(6a) 2 x 844970 = 1689940

#6 1689940 total Israelites of 11 tribes

================================================

NUMBERS 3:39 All that were numbered of the Levites, which Moses and Aaron
numbered at the commandment of the Lord, throughout their families, all
the males from a month old and upward, were twenty
and two thousand.

#7 All the male Levites = 22,000

================================================

Using the average of women being half the population.

(8a) 2 x 22,000 = 44,000

#8 Total Levites in the book of Numbers 44,000

================================================

1689949 Total Israelites from 11 tribes + 44,000 Total Levites

#9 1,733,940 Total Israelites in the book of Numbers

================================================

A reproductive generation is the time it takes a female to be born, until she
produces her last child. Life span was short in ancient times and girls got
married in their early teens. For this problem I will say a generation of
women was 30.

#10 A generation = 25
years

================================================

#1 40 women went into Egypt

#2 After the Israelites were there 430 years

#9 Those women had produced 1,733,940 children

================================================

Question 1

In order for 40 women to have 1,733,940 living descendants in 430 years, how
many children women have to average per generation.

Average age of women when they had their last child ? 25

Average number of children per woman ? 3.6194

1 72

2 131

3 237

4 429

5 776

6 1405

7 2542

8 4601

9 8327

10 15070

11 27272

12 49355

13 89319

14 161641

15 292522

16 529377

17 958014

18 1733718

Starting with 40 females, The average woman would have to produce 3.6194 in 18
generations to produce 1733718 living descendants

#11 3.6194 is the average number of children produced
(which lived long enough to reproduce themselves)

================================================

The book of Numbers took place around 1440 BC

After you have found the number of children a woman would have to average per
generation to produced 1,733,940 living children 430 years later..

Question 2

Use that same average number of children per mother

Starting in 1440 BC

Starting with 1,733,949 Israelites and project
the number of Israelites that would exist by the birth of Christ.

Using (#11) 3.6194 as the average children that
would have been necessary to produce the number of Israelites (when numbered),
assuming a reproductive generation was 25 years old, how many Israelites would
exist 400 years after they were counted in the book of Numbers.

-1400 BC ISRAELITES 1,733,940 Total Israelites in the
book of Numbers

-1375 BC ISRAELITES 1529142.209

-1350 BC ISRAELITES 2767288.6556273

-1325 BC ISRAELITES 5007962.28008873

-1300 BC ISRAELITES 9062909.33827657

-1275 BC ISRAELITES 16401147.0294791

-1250 BC ISRAELITES 29681155.7792483

-1225 BC ISRAELITES 53713987.6137057

-1200 BC ISRAELITES 97206203.3845232

-1175 BC ISRAELITES 175914066.264972

-1150 BC ISRAELITES 318351685.719719

-1125 BC ISRAELITES 576121045.646976

-1100 BC ISRAELITES 1042606256.30733

-1075 BC ISRAELITES 1886804542.03938

-1050 BC ISRAELITES 3414550179.72867

-1025 BC ISRAELITES 6179311460.25497

-1000 BC ISRAELITES 11182699949.6234

The math is right, the logic must be flawed

================================================

Using bible numbers and averaging, your task is to find
the average birth rate from the time they entered into Egypt until they were
counted in the book of Numbers... then use that
same birth rate and project the number of Israelites that would exist 400
years after they were counted in the book of Numbers.

The ONLY way the Israelites could have had such a population increase is by each Israelite male taking 8 to 10 Egyptian wives in every generation for 430 years and of course that would make every Israelite the stock of mostly Egyptians.
